Am I the only blogger who deals with wind?  Andy and I usually have one day every couple of weeks we can fit in a photo shoot.  This particular day we had gale-force winds.  Okay, maybe just annoyingly strong winds, but winds nonetheless.  We decided to power through and thought I might as well make fun of the situation by letting it make fun of me.  Hence the fabulous hairstyle. 🙂

Wind or no wind, I still had the chance to dress up a pair of comfy Pixie pants from Old Navy with my red-soled shoes, proving Christian Louboutin pumps can go with just about anything!  The pants are sold out on line in this color, so I linked some different options below.  If you love the Pixie, regardless of color, you’ll find them here.

I realize not everyone wants to wear a pair of stilts with their casual pants.  I linked a pair of pumps with a slightly lower heel and a much lower price tag for a similar vibe without the extremes.  I think you can get there with a pair of nude patent flats as well.  It’s a casual look, so it’s all about the range of possibilities that allows you to feel comfortable.

Sometimes “comfortable” for me isn’t the way clothes feel on me, but the way I feel in them.  Does that make sense?  In retrospect, I think I’d choose a smaller top (this one is a medium), but otherwise I liked the way this turned out.  Maybe next time I’ll punch it up with a hat.

What casual outfit makes you feel good?

Helen
