That ’70s Look

Jeans: Level 99, similar by Current/Elliott and Rag & Bone | Top: Trouvé  | Cuff: old, try these | Bag: Michael Kors | Sunglasses: Leith | Shoes (I never did show them – oops!) but these by Michael Kors and Halogen are cute| Lips: Lancome Sugared Maple

How does the song go?  “Everything old is new again.”  This season it’s true with the 70s.  The influence is everywhere, from wide leg pants to fringe to platform wedges.  Thankfully white macrame’ belts haven’t been seen on the runways.  Some things are best left behind.

I think the secret with a ’70s inspired look is exactly that – “inspired.”  Not a parody, not a verbatim homage, but a look that’s reminiscent without being ridiculous.

I tried to get that with the round sunnies, the flare pants, the rope wedges (that I never did show), the bright orange top.  I’m a bit past the age for midriffs, but this top has that feel without baring anything.  So how did I do?

Are you adding a little ’70s inspiration to your wardrobe this spring? I’d love to hear what you’re doing!

Have a wonderful weekend!
