Dressed Up Jeans and a Tee

What can be more basic than jeans and a tee? True, I’ve given them a little twist with a cropped length jean and a slub-fabric tee, but the foundation is still there.  Then I made a fabulous little discovery for this basic look: add a long statement necklace and basic gets dressed up in an instant.  This particular necklace from Chico’s is on sale right now, as well as the cropped jeans, which makes the look even more appealing.

If you’re not a fan of platform wedges or crops, try the look with loafers or flat mules and jeans at ankle-length. I’ve added a few to the widget below to give you some ideas, including a light-weight denim ankle jean to see you through the hotter summer months.  I have enough jeans in longer lengths right now (did I really type that?) which is why I chose the crops.  They looked more like summer to me, and goodness knows it’s summer in Arizona!

I’m still basking in the glow of last weekend’s Fierce 50 Revolution meet up.  I featured a couple pictures of our beach photo shoot and the brunch at Chico’s in Santa Monica earlier this week.  Next week I’ll have more from the beach shoot (so much fun with those wonderful women), our Launch Party for Cat & Kaehler and their new LA Talk Radio show, and another brunch at the chic shop of French Kande.  We had such a fun weekend – I can’t wait for the next get together.

Meanwhile, join the Revolution on Facebook.  If you’re 50+, you’ll find plenty of inspiration and style for our demographic.  We would love to have you in the conversation!
