Little Changes

Don’t you love it when you get a lot of mileage from pieces in your closet?  I really feel as though I’ve spent my money well when I can take a piece and style it multiple ways.  I’m doing that today with pieces you probably already have in your closet.  Sometimes little changes can make all the difference.

Basic black and white takes a decidedly casual turn with a pair of Converse All Stars. The combination of white jeans and white shoes helps visually lengthen the leg, which is always a plus. I like the playful feel of this option. “Tennies” are like that.

I’ve switched to silver slides to keep the look casual but a bit more polished. Slides are still easy to wear when you’re on the move. I’ve definitely put that claim to the test!  I add foam insoles, which make any pair of shoes feel better.  In fact, I wear foam insoles with almost all my shoes, especially heels.  That little bit of cushion makes all the difference!

Same jeans, top, and crossbody plus strappy heels and some long beads, all to prove you can take casual basics and wear them to a variety of events.  The changes were minute but they really open the options.  Getting the most out of each piece in your closet makes sense ( and cents).  Honestly, what I’ve done here is hardly a major expression of creativity.  I merely changed shoes and jewelry.  Imagine your closet options when you look at each piece and purposefully think of new ways to wear it.
