Mustard and wine are the perfect fall pairing.   Maybe not as a food choice but certainly as a color combination.  Don’t they capture the colors of turning leaves? I’ve kept the combo understated today – obviously there’s a lot of mustard yellow, but the wine accents are minimal.  I think I could have capitalized on the color pairing a bit more.  Perhaps that’s a look for another day!  I experimented a bit with the overall look (hat, no hat; belt, no belt. . .) just to see and show some different options.  Which is your favorite?

This tunic is actually a dress.  It was a bit too short for me in its intended function, but I thought it made the perfect tunic.  I tried it hanging loose and then belted it asymmetrically, just because.  I definitely like the latter style better.  Because it’s a little off-center it creates so much more visual interest.  If you’re going to belt the sweater loosely like I did, you’ll create a nice balance with a slim-fitting pant.  I chose faux denim leggings for the sleek and slightly dressy vibe.  Skinny jeans would give you the same silhouette but a more casual look.  The more I think about it, I realize this tunic offers so many different options.  This is going to be a more versatile piece than I imagined.  That’s a great plus!

I’m so glad you stopped by today!
