Quilted

I love this new quilted coat by J.Jill!  Except for a couple of ski jackets back in the day, I’ve never owned a puffer coat or a cute quilted version like this.  When I had the opportunity to grab this one in peat, that’s exactly what I did!  Because it’s filled with down it’s remarkably light-weight.  I wasn’t sweltering during our photos with temps in the high 70s which was wonderful, but I can’t speak to the level of warmth it will give in cooler weather.  Let’s say it’s a perfect fall coat, but we’ll have to see how well it layers this winter.

Today and next week I’ll show a couple ways I’ve styled the coat to show you its versatility (becuase you know I love versatility).  Today I’ve put together an unexpected pairing with this little fit and flare dress in light pink.  The combination of casual and dressy was fun, right down to this great little evening bag.  What do you think of the color combination?  If red and green are complementary colors on the color wheel, I thought variations of those shades would work, too.  However, if the olive-green tones of peat aren’t your thing, the coat also comes in stone and black.
