You’ve heard the lyrics, “It never rains in California.”  In southwest Arizona, it’s downright dry. When we have the occasional rainy day, you’ll see locals standing in their doorways staring at the rare phenomenon.  I joke that an afternoon shower constitutes our annual rainfall.  I’m actually not that far from the truth.

Regardless, I couldn’t help myself when I saw this cute coat.  It’s actually closer to a medium blue than periwinkle, which is how it looks to me in these photos. The price was right (less than $30), and in our dry weather it functions well as an overcoat.  It’s not billed as a raincoat but it definitely has that feel.  Either way, it has found its way to my closet so that’s that.
