Ah, swimsuit season.  Warm rays, cool water, tan skin. . .swimsuits!  Uh oh!   Choosing (and wearing) a swimsuit isn’t nearly as easy as it was in our younger years.  Even if we weren’t fit and fabulous, for most of us suits looked better back then, or we looked better in them.

Most of us aren’t as toned and swimsuit-ready as we’d like to be.  It’s never too late to work on looking better, but you probably won’t get the poolside look you want by next weekend.  Let’s be honest, all that talk I hear about accepting my body as it is, is nice but we’ve all seen the women at the beach in the tiny bikini who just shouldn’t have.  I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to be that girl!

What’s a water-loving but self-conscious woman to do?  Camouflage, optimize, slenderize.  Deflect the eye with a pretty print or an interesting gathering of fabric.  I’ve put together several options in the collage above and the widget below to help boost our poolside self-confidence.  There is no reason to forego summer water fun just because we don’t like the way we look in a swimsuit.  You’re bound to love the way you look in one of these pretty styles!

And every beach babe needs her accessories.  I’ve got those covered, too, from canvas totes to the all-important sun screen.  Many of these pieces are already on sale.  There’s no excuse to avoid the water now, so get out there and go make a splash!

  1. I guess too much publicity killed em. The Drudge Report linked to one of Mosnews.com’s stories, and the traffic almost shut down their servers. Then some other news source did an article on how Drudge got stories from such “unknown sites” as Mosnews.com, and suddenly, the rest of the world knew who they were… including the boys at Moscow News. Fame killed em. Its a pity.
