Happy September!  I’m not really sure what happened to August.  I’m ready to usher in more favorable temperatures and it looks like they’re coming.  As Summer fights to keep its hold and Fall pulls us to the new season, we’re left to find outfits to bridge the gap.  Like we’ve discussed before, layers are the key to staying comfortable during seasonal transitions.  This utility jacket does double-duty as a casual cover with a pair of Chucks, but takes on an upscale look with my favorite red-sole pumps.

I’ve always found heels are an easy way to dress up a casual look.  When you’re not sure how to dress for an upcoming event, white or very dark jeans and a pretty top can go dressy with heels or more casual with a pair of flats.  A pair of Converse take the look to its most relaxed.  In my outfit above I’ve changed nothing but the shoes, but what a difference!
