A friend of mine once said, “All weekends are good, some are just better than others.”  So true.  This weekend didn’t necessarily land on the “better” side of the scale, simply because I had so much I wanted to accomplish and I didn’t quite get there.  The to-do list still looms but it’s not quite as daunting.  I just wanted to check off a few more things than I did off.  Do you have a list like that?

I put together a very simple way to transition a work look to fall.  I often take a simple, quality tee and pair it with a tailored skirt for the office.  With the addition of pumps, I think the combo can go to work very easily unless your dress code is more formal.  Taking this look into fall is a long cardigan, which keeps the look tailored.  By opting for a monochromatic color scheme like grey, everything looks polished and put together.  I opted to forgo jewelry except for a watch (still in keeping with the grey-scale theme), which I felt gave the look a more sleek appearance.  You don’t always need jewelry.
