The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is in full swing.  Although there are a lot of fun and funky things to put in your cart, this is also a great time to pick up some closet staples at fabulous prices.

The items in my closet that work hardest are black skirts, nude and black pumps, and blouses in a variety of colors and sleeve lengths.  I’ve brought you a few options to get you started.  Although we all like to be much more than basic, these closet staples can provide the foundation for an entire wardrobe.  When mixed and matched with fun, offbeat pieces, “basic” will be the last word you’ll think of.
