I featured this gorgeous wine dress at the beginning of the Nordstrom sale.  Here it is, “live.”  I absolutely love it!  It’s such a flattering, tailored cut, and the color is so amazing.  It appears I’ll be renewing my love affair with wine hues this fall.  I love the richness of fall colors and fabrics, but wine has always been my favorite.  How appropriate that I’m drinking a delicious Zinfandel as I write this.  🙂  What colors are you craving this fall?

I decided to go with my nude pumps rather than the wine pumps I featured in the collage last month.  I like the way nude pumps give legs a longer, leaner look.  I had also featured a plush rabbit jacket which is now sold out.  If I lived in a colder environment I might have taken the plunge and purchased it, but in southwest Arizona coats and jackets don’t get a lot of wear.  True story: I somehow managed to leave a beautiful purple coat at my mom’s house at the end of a winter season. I went to retrieve it the following fall and she had given it away!  “I didn’t think you ever wore coats where you live,” Mom said.  In truth, she wasn’t far off.  It gets cold here, but not that cold, and not for long.  And wow, did I just go down a bunny trail!

But back to wine, the Burgundy lipstick in this MAC “Look in a Box” is so rich and just perfect for fall.  It’s also perfect for this dress.  The “Look in a Box” is exclusive to the Nordstrom sale, and that sale ends in four days!  Besides the lipstick, the Box also comes with a light brown eye color, a mascara and an eyeliner in a black pouch you’ll be able to use over and over again.  I’m planning to use mine as a travel case.
