If you love fashion, you’ve probably experienced admiration for things Parisian. Superpower fashion houses such as Chanel, Dior, Saint Laurent and Givenchy have dressed women beautifully for decades. So why is it, with so much creativity and innovation coming from that region of the world, that simple black and white stripes atop a black skirt or pants is considered “Parisian”? Oh, and don’t forget the pop of red – whether beret, scarf or lip. I’ll confess, I put this skirt and sweater together and that’s exactly what I thought, “Parisian.” I even donned a red lip. 🙂 The fedora and Ray-Bans, however, bring this look back stateside.
I’ve always liked this style striped sweater. It’s too warm to wear mine yet but I’ve linked some short sleeve, lighter weight options if you’re ready to get your stripes now. If you like the Parisian vibe, you can pair it with this skirt or a pair of black pants like these by Ann Taylor (on sale!), but this sweater will pair with all sorts of things. I used it to mix prints here. Hilarious, but I wore so many of the same things in that previous post. So much for creativity and innovation.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
