Thanksgiving is over, the leftovers are probably gone, but the pounds?  Not so easily shed, sadly.  I take heart in the expression of my Uncle Joe, “It’s not what you eat between Thanksgiving and Christmas that will cause you problems, but what you eat between Christmas and Thanksgiving.”

I also take refuge in outfits that help hide those couple extra pounds. Black top and pants – need I say more? Black and tan create a combo with a different twist than black and grey, and the punch of Merlot adds a little more interest.  A long vest helps elongate the body while it covers a few suspect spots until I get back on course with normal eating and exercise.  On the latter, I’m still restricted for a couple of weeks because of the knee.  As a result, I’d better be especially diligent in the food category.  (oops.)
