Remember when faux fur was less like fur and more like a shag rug?  I’m so happy to see the way it has improved over the years.  It may not necessarily feel as soft as the real thing, but the price is fantastic. For those who are opposed to real fur, these better quality fakes are a great way to get the luxe look while keeping your conscience clear.

I picked up this little vest for a song and found it’s another potential closet workhorse.  I’m showing a casual look here but it went to work over a black dress yesterday.  I’m planning on pairing it with pink for another blog post.  It’s going to look fabulous with a host of other colors as well.

It looks as though my favorite over-the-knee boots are back in stock.  These babies are so popular this year and I love the $150 price vs. the $800 original.  At this price I picked up two pair and considered a third.  I’m still playing with the idea. . .

Did you notice I’m wearing that basic all-black foundation again?  I’ve swapped out the dressier pants for black jeans, but the premise is still there.  What is your favorite way to style black pants and a sweater?
