Have you ever had one of those days?  That’s really a dumb question, because we all have.  Today wanted to be one of those days for me – loading frustration upon futility.  Or is it the other way around?

My plan for today was to show the above ensemble, lending an edgy vibe to a girley pink dress.  I have the photos, but I couldn’t get the widget to work.  The “widget” is that ribbon of options below the post you can click on to send you straight to the website to order the product.  For once it wasn’t my computer!  I realize this is a small thing on the life-scale when one considers world peace and ending hunger, but it can put a little wrinkle in your day.  Or can it?

I try not to let situations dictate my outlook.  I might wallow for a few minutes (okay, maybe a bit longer) but there comes a point where I put on my big girl heels, say a prayer and power through.  It’s my solution today, and it’s my solution in general when the sh#* hits the fan.  Life can hand you circumstances, but it shouldn’t hand you your attitude.

This isn’t meant to be a rah-rah rant.  It’s just a discussion about, as my brother Hugh describes it, not sucking at life.  Pick the best option.  Choose the better attitude.  Fake it ’til you make it.  Whatever you need to do to improve your outlook and be the best you at this moment – do it! Be that person people gravitate toward because they give energy rather than suck it from you.

When it’s all said and done, today’s look is probably perfect for today’s post.  We can still be feminine; we can still be lady-like.  But like black leather over pink bows, we can have an edge that tells the world, “I will choose to handle, with my best attitude, whatever you throw at me.”  Take control.  Be the best You you can be.
