For the first evening in a long time Andy and I were able to sit outside and enjoy a glass of wine without completely melting. We were nowhere close to cool, but it was tolerable. I haven’t been able to say that in a while. A little breeze, the fountains splashing water, temperatures under 100. Naturally it was time to bring out a fall transition look. 🙂
In areas where temperatures are still really warm, a transitional look is more about color than fabric. My tee is definitely summer weight, but the grey color, especially paired with my dark jeans and suede booties from the Nordstrom sale last month, say “fall.” As things cool down I can throw on a black leather jacket or long cardi to complete the transition. That makes this look one of the easiest you can put together, and with options to keep it versatile. We’ll try showing some of those in a future post. Right now it’s about getting a fall look in summer temps.
What do you think about this red bucket bag? It’s another Nordstrom sale find but no longer available in red but I’ve linked similar options above and below at some great price points. This is the first bucket bag I’ve owned and I really like it. I have to be careful – it holds so much it’s easy to go overboard!
How do you transition to fall? Thanks so much for stopping by!
