Here I go again.  I found another swing dress and fell in love.  It’s so funny, because a year ago I don’t think I owned a dress that wasn’t at least a bit tailored.  I’ve picked up a few more loose-fitting dresses and decided I was really missing out on some ease and comfort.  Not that everything else I owned was stiff and uncomfortable, but really, few things could be as easy to wear on a long day as this dress.  And I just love the slouchy pockets!

I think one of the things that has concerned me about flowing dresses is the potential for a Marilyn Monroe moment.  Although it worked beautifully for her, I can’t say I’d have the same good fortune.  Slips seemed to show because of the high-low hemline, so I started wearing a pair of fitted workout shorts underneath.  If the wind catches my skirt I’m not so worried about it.  Well, there’s today’s true confession.

Now that Halloween has passed the onslaught on Christmas advertising has begun.  Sigh.  But it also signals the final weeks available for tax planning.  I’ll be resuming Money Mondays soon to talk about some year-end strategies that may help you save tax dollars.

Meanwhile, I hope you have a wonderful week!

Helen
