I’m the first to admit I’m not a hopeless romantic. I mean, I love romance, and the idea of being swept off my feet is pretty compelling, but in my day-to-day life I’ve been much more practical.
Maybe too practical. Lately I’ve been thinking I could inject a little more beauty and romance into my life. Maybe more flowers in the house or a lovely candlelit table setting. Simple things with a big impact could probably adjust my outlook a bit. So. . .
I know we’re a month away, but I’ve already picked out my dress for Valentine’s Day, in a fabulous, traditional red. The practical side of me knows this makes a great Christmas season dress as well as a wear-red-on-Friday-to-show-support-for-our-military dress. The romantic side says, well, red! I’ve shown it here alone and edged-up a bit with a leather jacket. A soft, long sweater is another option. The clean lines of this dress allow it to be styled several different ways and the interesting seams make it a great piece to wear on its own. Apparently practical and romantic can coexist!
Have a great Wednesday!
