We don’t get much rain in the southwest.  In fact, I often joke that an afternoon shower constitutes our annual rainfall.  It’s hilarious the way we react when it rains – everyone stands in their doorways and just stares at it.  Even at work I’ll break away to watch the rain fall for a few minutes.  It’s one of the things I’ve missed since moving here.  I used to enjoy sitting by a crackling fire, listening to the rain while sipping on a mug of hot coffee or cocoa.  Sigh.

Because it isn’t wet that often here, I don’t get much chance to wear these great Hunter boots.  It seems like everyone else has them in a variety of bright colors (I really love red) but these black make much more sense for me.  I doubt I’ll ever wear them out, but I can wear them with virtually any color.  If I get tired of red (unlikely) I can throw on a bright sweater or a different scarf and they still work.
