Don’t you just love the new jeans trends? After flares gave way to straight leg, then skinny and boyfriend cuts, it seems anything goes. I love the fun creativity happening now. Not every new silhouette is going to work with every body type, but there are plenty of options for everyone. I thought these cute crops from Gap were adorable, and I love the bleach treatment at the hemline. They felt fun and funky enough to style them with my classic Converse tennis shoes.

Since this jean style/Converse combination won’t flatter everyone, I wanted to show how well this cute will work with chunky heels.  Only the shoes were swapped out but I think the look is very different.  Heels, especially with a slight platform, will obviously give you more height but they will also elongate your leg.  If you’ve avoided wide crops because you’re concerned you’ll look wide and cropped, try them with a pair of platforms.  You don’t have to think Elton John and a sky-high shoe base.  A slight platform could change your opinion.  If any type of platform shoe is off-putting, how about a paid of espadrille wedges?

Have you tried any of the cute jeans styles this season?  Which is your favorite?
