Have you checked your calendar?  Easter is only a couple of weeks away!  For believers, this day takes on a very special meaning, more significant that other other Christian holiday.  Even for non-Christians there is something about donning our Sunday best on Easter.  Whatever the calendar says, Easter seems to signal the unofficial start of spring.

I’ve picked out a couple of dresses I’m considering for Easter Sunday.  This cute polka dot number has a spring feel without the usual floral backdrop.  (For die hard floral fans, I also have a floral dress in the running.)  It will also be a good choice through the summer.

When a dress has a lot of pattern play like this one, I think it’s best to keep the accessories very simple or let them pick up the mood of the dress.  The large pearls of this choker play up the polka dots without overpowering the look or upstaging the dress.

Polka dots have a tendency to look a little “youthful.”  Along with my necklace, which follows the theme of the dress, I’ve gone with a subdued shoe color and a bag that, although bright, matches the dress and doesn’t grab a lot of attention.  Although shoes and a bag in contrast colors can be fun, I was thinking church and Easter brunch with this look.

With Easter just around the corner, have you started your dress search?  To help you out, I’ll have a couple more options coming in the next few days.

Thanks for stopping by!

Helen
