Windowpane Check

Happy October! Or should I say, “Holy cow!” In some ways it seems September flew by, yet in others I wondered if we’d ever get through that month! Regardless, October is here and that means J.Jill has rolled out another month of fabulous style. There are some great office pieces, but I was really drawn to this windowpane check shirt. I like the understated print and the modified peplum is a great alternative to a classic button-down. If you want a little derriere coverage, you’ve got that here as well.

Like everything J.Jill, the fabric is so comfortable. I’ve worn a few soft plaid shirts in my time, and this one is right up there.  The windowpane check a great choice on a small frame because it’s not an overpowering print. And how about that relaxed fit? When I tried this top on I immediately smiled. You’ve got to love a shirt that creates that reaction!  What’s not making me smile is my lip color.  I grabbed a beige and wish I’d picked something a little darker.  I’m feeling a little washed out here.  A little something to remember next time. . .

You may have noticed I’ve been pretty hit-and-miss with posts again. Life lately has been hectic, to say the least. I appreciate your indulgence as I slog through the many things on my plate right now. Things should settle down soon, and I can share more of what’s keeping me so busy. Meanwhile, I’m lining up a few more looks for the week and I hope you like them as much as I do.

Thanks so much for continuing to visit and support my little venture here. It’s a fun, creative outlet and I’ve really enjoyed getting to know some of you here and through Instagram and Facebook. Have a wonderful Monday!

Thank you, J.Jill, for sponsoring this post.
